Looks like Acer has kicked off the MWC a little early this year. Acer has forayed into the Windows Phone territory with its first budget offering, the Liquid M220. The Liquid M220 is reminiscent of the old HTC Windows phones in terms of design. Priced at a mere $90, this is the perfect smartphone for those looking to give Windows Phone a try. The device sports a 4" display packing in 233 ppi resolution. While it is nowhere close to the other big guns being launched today, it surely is worth the money you pay. The M220 is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and is paired with 512MB of RAM. The major disappointment is the limited 4 GB internal storage but the phone supports microSD cards though. There is a 5 MP snapper at the back - sans flash - and a 2 MP front facing camera. There is no word on image quality as of now. The M220 will ship with Windows 8.1 as the default OS but Acer has promised an upgrade to Windows 10 once the operating system goes public. The device will be available in select European Markets this April for 79 euros with no word on international availability. Want to know about all the latest launches at this MWC?
