For the first time in history, Apple doesn't want people to spend their hard-earned money. In a surprising move, Apple is now promoting games that offer no in-app purchases or paid DLCs. The free games are a treat for everyone. But, as the saying goes, if it is too good to be true, it probably ain't. Sure, you get to start playing for free but by the end of the month, you'll have to exercise a lot of self-control so as to not buy your way up top. (Clash of Clans anyone?) So you just bought Asphalt on your iDevice. Yes, iDevice owners do buy apps. If you are wondering as to why I did clarify, it's because of the common Indian mentality. You look at the amazing selection of cars and wish that you could get them all. They have a car pack for that for some dollars. In App Purchases are annoying and even Apple thinks so. Currently featured in the UK App Store, there is a new section that is called 'Pay Once & Play' and it showcases “great games” that don't require users to pay for extra content. Apple has been under fire for the deceptive nature of its apps. They even changed the FREE labels to GET. The new section may or may not be permanent, but it is definitely a good sign.
