With over 13M units sold within three days the official availability, Apple is already exceeding all the expectations with the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus. Apple has received a very positive response from Wall Street analysts and has called for an earnings report on 27 October.
With the iPhone 6s, Apple started shipping to 12 countries at launch and is now further rolling out to more than 40 countries by mid October. Check out the entire list after the post.
Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray wrote:
Overall, we see opening weekend results, coupled with our read on sell-through, as a sign that the iPhone 6s cycle is off to a good start and continue to be comfortable with our 3% iPhone 6s cycle unit growth compared to the Street at flat..
Apple’s unit sold/country have increased in comparison to the iPhone 6 launch. Apple is expected to launch the new iPhones on October 9 in:
- Czech Republic
- Isle of Man
On October 10th, the following countries will get the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus:
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates
and on October 16th:
Though identical in design to last year iPhones, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus have been selling like hot cakes. Tim Cook has stated that sales of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been nothing short of “phenomenal”:
