Chinese mobile manufacturer, Coolpad, just launched its latest smartphone for the Indian market, the Coolpad Note 3 Lite. Priced very sweetly at Rs. 6999/- the Note 3 Lite will be an Amazon exclusive with the first flash sale starting January 28. The Coolpad Note 3 Lite comes hot on the heels off its beefier sibling, the Coolpad Note 3 which impressed us a lot. The performance and the value for money that Coolpad offers is still the best in the market. Check out our Coolpad Note 3 Review for an insight. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM - which can be considered the highlight of the device at this price point. There is a pretty neat fingerprint sensor located just beneath the camera module and boy is it fast! The Coolpad Note 3 Lite sports a 13 MP rear camera with and f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and a 5 MP front facing camera. There is 16GB of inbuilt storage, expandable via microSD card (up to 64GB). Connectivity options include 4G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB (with OTG). Did we mention it has Dual 4G SIM support? The Note 3 Lite also comes with added VoLTE support (Voice over LTE). For those who are wondering as to what this is, in simple terms, you'll get better call clarity and way better calling experience as the smartphone will automatically switch from mobile network to using 4G for calling. Coolpad did mention that this is still in testing phase and will be implemented via a later software update. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Coolpad's own Cool UI 6.0 on top. The entire package is powered by a 2500mAh non-removable battery that's rated to deliver up to 10 hours of talk-time. An Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Coolpad Note 3 Lite is supposedly in the works. The company has reportedly teamed up with HCL to provide After Sales Support.
