Amit Shah , a Mumbai born lad who grew up in a Jain family joined RSS during his college life and who would have thought that a teenager from the suburbs of Mumbai will change the political scenario of the country. Amit Shah was a key member for BJP in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and he played his role to the best. He was made in charge of BJP's election scenario in the Uttar Pradesh, a state which is known as a ruthless place to win for the national parties. But, Amit Shah saw this as an opportunity and was responsible for BJP winning 70 out of 80 seats in the state and thus the local leader from Gujarat changed the way politics worked in the UP. In recent times, the BJP president, Amit Shah was made the head to look after the election scenario in the capital Delhi. Amit Shah is known for his political experience and changing the scenario of how votes are cast. Amit Shah was the one who adviced Narendra Modi to contest from Varanasi thus kicking in that Modi wave in the state and thus galvanising BJP's position in UP. Amit Shah is involved at a higher level in the assembly elections of the capital. and the question is why is he so concerned? Proving his worth- When Amit Shah was made the party president after the success of 2014 Lok Sabha election there were many prominent BJP and RSS leaders who questioned his appointment as the party head and now by helping BJP win the elections in the capital he will cement his place in the party as the most prominent figure to reckon with and to prove that he is the best choice BJP has to lead the party. The Coveted Capital- BJP has won assembly elections in three prominent states( Haryana , Maharashtra, Jharkhand) and coming in coalition with PDP in J&K has proved that what BJP is capable of and what does it mean for the party. Delhi has always been a prominent place for politics being the capital and thus BJP wants to wave that saffron flag in the capital too and thus achieve every target they have set for themselves. Delhi is the last piece that will complete BJP's dominance in the country. Amit Shah needs to get this piece yo complete the task he has been assigned A strong challenge from AAP - It was never easy to win in Delhi and this point was proved the last time the elections were held in the capital. The Aam Aadmi Party posses a serious threat for BJP if they want to win the elections in the capital this time. AAP's leader Arvind Kejriwal is the prominent threat that BJP needs to be wary off if they are to win the elections. AAP is still contesting for the elections in the capital with the same power and vigour that won them 28 out of 70 seats in the last assembly elections. If BJP wants to win in the capital they have to bring in their best chance to the game and Amit Shah is trying his every bit to stop Kejriwal from getting that magical number in the Assembly elections. Keeping that Modi wave on - The whole country was tantalized by the Modi wave which won the BJP the highest number of seats in the Lok Sabha in 2014 and that wave is still on, BJP's victory in Jharkhand and Mahrashtra proved that the country is still excited to see BJP win every possible elections they are going to contest and to keep the wave of progress move forward. However when BJP contested the elections in Delhi they were not able to reach that magic number to get them into a state of happiness. Thus, if BJP wants to keep that Modi wave on they need to win the elections in Delhi or else this will be reflected badly when BJP will contest elections in other states. What if BJP loses - The first major success of Amit Shah's Delhi Elections plan was to recruit Kiran Bedi to lead the charge of BJP in the Delhi Elections and he took part himself in most of the rallies that Kiran Bedi was in. Narendra Modi is set to address the capital in total of 4 rallies around the capital, but that is normal for a PM to support his party. It was dubbed as a battle between Modi and Kejriwal and Amit Shah was successful in replacing that with Kejriwal vs Kiran Bedi or Amit Shah. And how does that help BJP? Well, this puts Modi out of the picture and thus if BJP losses the coveted capital the blame will entirely be on Shah or Bedi and thus protects the PM from embarrassment of losing the capital. Only time will tell if BJP can win the capital but if there is one person who can do this, it is definitely Amit Shah.
