Ever wondered about what happened to the old basic Facebook you used to just connect to your (actual) friends? Facebook is trying its hands on a standalone app for groups that may bring back your basic social networking experience to life. Facebook is bringing a Groups app to iOS and Android where you can form groups of people you want to share certain experiences with. Groups will be there in the main Facebook app as well, but Facebook thinks that a dedicated app for group chats will help make the experience better. Share your intimate experiences with only the people you want to and you can even choose to alter the privacy settings of your posts. The app is reported to work fluently on iOS and android devices and the people who've tried it seem happy. There might be a risk that this new venture may turn not turn out as expected considering the recent fiasco caused during the Messenger App adoption, but Facebook is pretty sure that this new app will help users to enhance their close experiences and rejuvenate the touch they used to have with their basic Facebook. You can take a group chat to your home screen too. Facebook offers suggestions when you form a group like clubs, sports teams, and even couples. One of the applications of this app can be for business purposes. Colleagues can communicate with each other and form their own workspace if they want to, but, they have Facebook for Work App already in play. The idea behind this app was to get away from all the ads and flashy news and viral updates and stay in touch with your family and friends. Seems like Facebook is trying to implement the famous "I have an app for that!" strategy.
