‘They’ call themselves developed, here ‘they’ is referred to all those people who are living in a developed country with an underdeveloped mentality. The following pictures went viral over Quora and Twitter last day, which are indeed snapshots of an email conversation between a German Professor and an Indian student who applied for an internship in Institute of Biochemistry of Leipzig University, Germany.
The German professor discriminates an Indian student by rejecting his internship application just because he was an Indian assuming that he might be a potential rapist. The incident went to such level that it seized the attention of the German Ambassador in New Delhi, India who wrote a letter to the professor condemning the refusal of internship to the student.
As a result, Professor Annete Beck-Sickinger apologized for her remarks."I have made a mistake, I sincerely apologise to everyone whose feelings I have hurt.”, she said. "It was never my intention to make a defamatory comment about Indian society. I do not have anything against Indian students. On the contrary, I sincerely apologise to anyone whose feelings I may have hurt." she added.

Countries are ‘developed’ according to IMF but biasing does exist there. Perhaps there are more people who face discrimination in the countries which we call ‘developed’, perhaps! Judging the scenario at a large scale because of few noticed incidents would be oversimplification and that’s what aforementioned German professor did. But as it is said,
