It's back! EA has unveiled the teaser trailer for its upcoming game in the most epic racing series ever: the Need for Speed reboot. The racing franchise by far the most successful one across all devices and EA says the game comes later this year. Someone press the fast forward button on time, like, NOW!! With this new game, inconspicously dubbed as Need for Speed, EA is going back to the basics - customizable cars and f**k physics kind of racing. Being developed in collaboration with Ghost Games, EA promises the game will feature "deep customization, authentic urban car culture, a nocturnal open world, and an immersive narrative to pull players deep into the game." Think of it as NFS Underground on steroids! “Need for Speed is one of the most iconic names in gaming, and we’re returning it to greatness in this reboot,” said Marcus Nilsson, Executive Producer at Ghost Games of the NFS Rivals fame. “Pulling on our 20 years of history, and then taking a year out from releasing a game, we are making the game we’ve always wanted to. We’re listening to the fans and delivering an experience that will capture their imagination and unleash their passion for cars and speed.” The series experimented with lots of different ideas over the past couple of years - NFS Run, NFS Rivals but they are ultimately coming back to what gamers love the most - pure adrenaline racing! The full trailer comes out June 15 with the game releasing worldwide this fall exclusively on PS4, XBox One and PC. Check back for more as we bring to you some more exclusive coverage from E3.
