HTC has unveiled a new version of the Desire 816G handset in India, substituting its 1.3GHz quad-core MT6582 processor with a 1.7GHz octa-core processor. HTC had launched the HTC Desire 816G for Rs 18,990 in September, but the new upgraded Desire 816G model has been priced Rs 19,990. The upgraded Desire 816G features more storage space and also a new processor. The upgraded Desire 816G sports a similar 5.5-inch 720p display. HTC Desire 816G (upgraded version) is equipped with a 1.7 GHz octa-core processor paired with a 1GB RAM and 16GB of built-in storage expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. The new upgraded version of phone offers the same 13MP rear-facing camera complete with HTC Zoe and automatic video highlight, as well as a 5MP selfie camera. On the connectivity front, it includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, Micro-USB 2.0, 3.5mm jack, and GPS/ A-GPS. It support Nano SIM cards, measures 156.6 x 78.7 x 7.9 mm and weighs 158 grams.
