HTC has already revealed and planning to launch many products this year, we have already seen its new flagship – The One M9 and also an android-wearable by HTC. It is also going to release E9 and M9+ later this year and that’s not all, it’s going to add one more product, a tablet which is rumored to be unveiled at some point later this year.
The interesting thing revolving around HTC’s tablet business is that it pulled back from such a long time ago but it has somehow decided and been working on this new tab for quite a while now and we may expect to see by April of this year given if the rumors are true.
And it’s just not a tablet, it is going to be top-notch tablet running Android 5.0 or 5.1 with HTC’s latest UI, blinkfeed and much more. This new slate, which is dubbed as the T1H will probably be shown off by the company in April. The claimed specifications include a 8.9 inch large QXGA display with a resolution of 2048 x 1530 pixels and will feature an Allwinner SoC. Now that’s something different, the company could have stuck with Qualcomm or MediaTek but it chose a 2.2 GHz Quad-core Allwinner H8 CPU which employs a PowerVR SGX544 GPU for graphics. The device is said to have a RAM of 2GB along with 16/32 GB of internal storage.
When it comes to camera, we are pretty excited to know that it’ll feature a 16 MP rear and a 8 MP front-facing snappers. We’re not sure if the snappers are going to get a touch of HTC’s Ultrapixel technology or not but having a 16 MP is far better and decent enough on a tab.
The body will be just 7.88 mm thin and it looks strikingly similar to HTC’s One M9. Also, it will have BoomSound speakers on the front to give off superb audio quality. It will pack in a massive 6700 mAH battery to give the device enough juice to exploit it. After all it’s almost 9 inch model so why not watch movies all day?
It is also claimed that the tab will come in two different variants, a WiFi-only and another with a high-speed 4G LTE connectivity. So we might as well assume that it will reasonably priced at a competitive range with other high-end’s like the Nexus 9 and the iPad. Though there’s nothing else revealed about this new device from HTC, chances are that it will be unveiled in April. We will update you as soon as possible when new details leaked about the T1H.
