Taiwanese smart phone maker, HTC, has launched lots of high-end devices this year, starting with their most expensive, One M9 which HTC announced during the MWC in March. A leak has just confirmed that HTC is going to launch their thinnest smartphone yet.
This new HTC device with the model number WF5w popped up in a recent TENAA listing. The phone has been certified by China’s TENAA regulatory and images as well as specs have been posted on its website.
HTC new device will be slim and light, with a weight of 152 grams and measurements of 158.7mm x 79.7mm x 7.49mm. This new device will be 7.49 mm thick which is not so slim as compared to the Galaxy S6 (6.8 mm) or iPhone 6 (6.9 mm).
The specs of HTC WF5w include 1.5GHz octa-core CPU, 16GB of expandable storage and 2GB of RAM. A 5.5 inch 720p display, 13MP main camera but no news on the front camera (most probably 5MP), and Android Lollipop are also on board.
Apart from new smartphones like the WF5w, HTC is also working on an entry-level tablet called the H7. There’s no word as yet as to when these devices will be released.
