The much-anticipated Huawei Watch that Huawei showcased at the MWC at Barcelona this year is still waiting to hit the markets. A German online retailer recently listed the Huawei Watch online, pegging the prices at $370 for the Silver Variant while the Gold edition costs a mere $430. While Apple Watch has sent the smartwatch market with a frenzy, Android purists are still waiting for the Huawei Watch to make an appearance. Huawei is still tight-lipped on the battery life, price and availability of the smart watch. The watch boasts of a powerful Qualcomm 1.2GHz processor for optimal performance, includes 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM and Bluetooth 4.1. With its built-in array of sensors, users can monitor everything from the number of calories burned, to heart rate, climbing height, steps taken, and distance travelled. In stark comparison, the Apple Watch costs $349 for the 38mm Sport variant, $649 for the 38mm Stainless Steel with the Gold and Rose Gold Models costing well over $10000. Though for the sake of comparison, Apple Watch sold more units of the first day than all the other Android Wear watches combined. The watch sports a sparkling 400×400 display with an incredibly high 10000:1 contrast ratio. The 286 ppi make it the most vibrant Android Wear watch yet. The watch looks classy with the 2 o’clock push button reminiscent of mechanical chronograph.
