There’s more to take home than the “Deep Trench Isolation” as demonstrated at Apple’s Hey Siri Event today! Apple’s latest mobile operating system, iOS 9 finally has a release date. iOS 9 will be available for download starting September 16.
Apple announced iOS 9 at its WWDC 2015 this summer, with new features like Proactive Siri, Apple News, new Transit info in Maps and a lot more. A Public Beta followed and the first official iOS 9 release date is set for September 16 across the world.
iOS 9 brings a lot more than updated Siri and Maps for the iPad. There is a brand new split-screen multitasking mode (Apple took a leaf out of Samsung for this one) and as demonstrated today, the iPad Pro makes great use of it with companies like Microsoft pushing out amazing updates to Microsoft Office Suite for iOS.
iOS 9 also has a Battery Saver mode which can increase the device’s battery life by up to 3 hours. iOS 9 also reduces down the size of update to 1.8GB – almost half of what iOS 8 painfully required.
If you are planning to update to iOS 9 next week, make sure you do back your iOS device to your computer or iCloud. The new storage plans for iCloud might come in handy!
