Smart shoes are the next generation passion wearables powered by an energy source. They are GPS based shoes which locate where we are and keep track of all the routes where we want to go. Two new devices were fitted inner sole of the shoe for harvest energy from the moments of who wired it and then another one is use that energy to power sensor and other electronic parts in it. These devices kept our smart shoe away from plugging into charger. These smart shoes will come under market as earlier of this year. The Germen researchers who developed the smart shoes. The two devices are namely “shock harvester” and “Swing harvester”. Shock harvester did harvest energy when the heel of our shoes hits the ground. The other device generate power when our foots swings forward as we walk or run. The harvesters could be connected to electronics parts inside in your shoe that track things such as speed, movement and temperature. “Both devices are based on same principle-electromagnetic induction”, said Klevis Ylli, who was a lead author of the paper outlining the new energy harvesting devices. Each of them contain coils of wire and stacks of magnets with it. As the person wearing the shoe walks or runs, the magnets move past the coils, causing the magnetic field within the coils to change. The changes of magnetic field produces voltage, within the wire which can be used as power for shoes. An indoor navigation systems which is an alternative satellite enabled GPS navigation systems utilize sensors to collect information about person’s where he are and then transmits this information wirelessly to a central computer. “For indoor navigation system, there are accelerometer sensors fitted within the shoe that determines how fast we are moving, accelerations of ours and angle of our feet has been traveled and also a battery was attached with the shoe, powered by shock harvester for keep sensors running”. This is simply not a shoe but a state of the art which can harbor many benefits for the smart.
