Nokia 1100 may return with Android Lollipop
The phone company which ruled the phone manufacturing industry with its simple and sleek phones which were apt for that time, Nokia is planning to relaunch the phone with which it established themselves in the market the Nokia 1100.
Nokia is expected to introduce a new range of smartphones that will run on android in Q4 2016 since their deal with Microsoft doesn't allow them to release smartphones with any other operating system, the new range of phones will start with none other than the relaunch of Nokia 1100.
First spotted on Nokia Power User, the Geekbench test of the new Nokia 1100 reveals that it will be powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor and 512MB RAM. It has also been revealed that the smartphone will feature 1280x720p display. No other information is available at the moment.
At the ongoing Mobile World Congress, Nokia launched the N1 tablet which runs on the Android Lollipop.
Nokia is in contention for a long time to release a flagship phone with Android, after losing market to Samsung and Apple in the last decade.
Nokia is desperate to return to the top and an android flagship phone might provide the right jump to the struggling phone manufacturers.
