The hottest restaurant discovery service, Zomato, has added yet another company in the list of its acqusitions.Backed up by some pretty impressive companies viz. Vy Capital, Info Edge, and Sequoia Capital, the Indian headquartered company is drilling its way into the international market. The latest acquisition comes in the form of Italy's Cibando, one of the largest restaurant search services in Italy that lists 82,000 restaurants across various cities. The terms of the acquisition remain undisclosed, though all of Cibando’s team will be joining the company. Zomato now plans to create a stronghold in Italy. This will include integrating Cibando into Zomato, thus transitioning its user base and traffic. It also plans to scale up its teams in Rome and Milan to 30-40 full-time employees over the next three months, up from Cibando’s current headcount of 10. Zomato also has plans to invest nearly $6 million over the course of next two years in the Italian service, and has also planned to grow the team to 150-200 people across the country’s top six cities.
