However, the most expensive tickets cost 1,200 Brazilian reals ($376) which is well above the monthly minimum wage of the poorest in the country which is 788 Brazilian reals ($246). Tickets are available for every event except for the football events to be held in Sao Paulo. Corinthians football club, owners of the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo, where some football matches are scheduled to be held, are in negotiation with Olympic officials over the funds needed to make the stadium 'Olympic-ready'.
