A good news for the power users, now you don't have to take the pain of hassling with two different monitors when it comes to heavy work. Philips has just brought world's first two-in-one monitor setup, combined internally so there's no mess of tethering them and it looks absolutely gorgeous.
The two displays are separated by a gap of mere 3.5mm and bordered by a very thin bezel which makes it look sleek. The two 19 inch screens are combined so seamlessly that together it makes up a 32 inch display. A great upside to this is that it takes comparatively less desk space than combining two separate monitors. The two 19 inch AH-IPS (Advance high performance - In-plane switching) has a W-LED backlight and a response time of 5ms (SmartResponse).
The two monitors of resolution 1280 x 1024 can be adjusted and tilted inwards to a maximum angle of 22.5 degrees for a better viewing experience. The clarity of the screens are pretty top-notch with a contrast ratio of 1000 : 1 cd/m². The first display has VGA and DisplayPort input while the other features a VGA and a MHL-HDMI input along with USB 2.0 on both. The Philip's 2-in-1 monitor does look fancy and helpful to the heavy users but it has been priced at $491 in the US Market, making it rather expensive for a monitor, also the resolution of the screens could have been improved. Nevertheless, the 2-in-1 monitor can be a huge advantage for the people who are ready for it.
