Apple is all set to launch the next generation of iPhone(s) come September 7. While we are dead sure that the 3.5mm jack is being axed for sure, the industry pundits are eager to see how Apple will handle the transition. A report by Appleinsider seems to have the answer: AirPods. The earlier leaks had suggested that Apple would include Lightning EarPods and a lightning to 3.5mm adapter with the new phones, but an alleged photo of the packaging of iPhone 7 Plus uploaded to Appleinsider begs to differ. Under a description of what's inside the box, the packaging claims the purchase is bundled with AirPods Wireless Earphones. However, there is no mention of the fabled 3.5mm adapter. Those familiar with Apple's simplistic packaging routine will agree that the photos look realistic enough but you can never be sure. A recent regulatory filing did suggest that Apple is set to debut truly wireless earphones with separate left and right modules with no connecting wires. What's more, this latest rumor also coincides with the previous ones that Apple is finally bumping up the base storage to 32GB. It seems that the latest iPhones will come with 32, 128 and 256GB of storage options with the 64GB variant being dropped. As always, these rumors may turn out to be, well, just rumors, but come next week, we'll know for sure!
