Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg has set an example when it comes to displaying extreme longing to something, especially marijuana. The rapper is going around, hoping to raise $25 million in funds to invest in weed startups and smoke on. A long time cannabis addict, Snoop Dogg is no stranger to drugs. He's been doing that for years and is a certified medical cannabis smoker. Though Snoop Dogg has previously invested in the past in companies like Reddit, him investing in his dearest paraphernalia makes more sense. And many US states have legalized marijuana. According to CrunchBase, as of December 2014, over $90 million has been poured by 29 investments on cannabis startups. With already a 12% of the population smoking marijuana on a regular basis, it gives much scope for the cannabis startup to innovate and expand its business. Snoop Dogg's not the first celeb to voice out his interest in the monetizing the legal pot business. Bob Marley (Marley Estate has shown a keen interest), PayPal co-founder Peter Theil, TV star Bethenny Franknel, musician Melissa Etheridge have also supported the legal pot business.
