Samsung is killing off its Samsung Wallet service at the end of next month. First spotted by SamMobile, Samsung has sent out emails to current users informing them about the termination date and advising them to utilize their coupons before June 30th. Samsung Wallet can thought of as Apple's very own Passbook. Back when Apple launched its Passbook feature, Samsung came out with Wallet to store coupons, membership cards, flight boarding passes, and mobile payment services. Now that Apple has introduced Apple Pay, Samsung is ambitiously aiming to taking its own mobile payment service, Samsung Pay, a notch higher. The email can be seen in the screenshot below. Samsung clearly states that all coupons clipped in Samsung Wallet will be rendered useless after the termination date though the all the tickets and reservations booked through partner apps will still be accessible via those apps.
