Just bought a shiny new 4K TV? To save yourself from the buyer's remorse, our advice, don't read this post! We hate to break it to you but Sharp is all set to debut the world's first 8K TV late next month. In a blog post earlier today, Sharp detailed the world's first production 8K TV, the LV-85001. The 85" monstrous TV adopts a LCD panel and boasts to be future proof for at least a couple* of years. The LV-85001 sports a 85" screen that has a resolution of 7680 x 4320 which equates to 104ppi. Sharp says the IGZO panel's contrast ratio is 100,000:1 with viewing angles of 176 degrees. If you thought finding 4K content was hard, good luck finding any 8K content for this big guy as this doesn't come with a built in TV Tuner. Though it will be ready to play the content when testing starts next year! The LV-85001 will be available for purchase starting October 30, yours for only ¥16 million ($133,000) and you thought Sony's 4K TVs were expensive!
