Citing unspecific reasons, Sony confirmed on Thrusday that the PS4 launch will be delayed in China. The Japanese Giant was supposed to launch the console in China this Sunday. In a joint statement issued by two joint ventures of Sony in China, the gaming console manufacturer said that the official launch was being delayed due to certain reasons. Last year, China authorised the domestic sale of game consoles through its first free-trade zone (FTZ) in Shanghai, ending a decade old ban originally instituted in 2000 due to worries over content. Sony was looking forward to cash in on the opportunity by starting to sell its consoles (PS4 and PS Vita). They had originally planned to release the consoles priced at 2,899 yuan for PS4 and 1,299 yuan for the handheld PS Vita.
