Sony’s new SmartWatch 3 that comes with a silicone wristband is now going to come with an amazing discount of 20%. A $50 discount on the Sony SmartWatch 3 is offered by the Verizon Wireless in the U.S., now costing only $199.99.
Normally, the smart watch is priced at $249.99, but is now available for 20 percent off from Verizon Wireless, as the Verizon Wireless is offering the device for just $199.99. With new price point, the Sony SmartWatch 3 falls in line with the famous Moto 360. This is a major game plan from not only Sony but also from Verizon as they look forward to dethrone T-Mobile this year.
The Sony SmartWatch 3 comes with a 1.6-inch 320×320 transflective LCD touchscreen, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of storage, 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and a few sensors: compass, gyrometer, accelerometer and one for ambient light. It’s IP68 certified for dust and water resistance, and it runs on Android Wear.
As for the weight the Sony SmartWatch 3 weighs 38g and measures 36 x 10 x 51 mm.
There’s no need to have a service plan with Verizon or to be a Verizon customer to buy the new Sony SmartWatch 3, so don’t be fearful just because of the retailer.
The only flaw with Verizon is that you cannot pick the rubber strap color of choice. They ship a default black band with the watch, so this is going to cause any problems because everyone likes black. (at least most of them do!)
Sony’s latest smart watch will face stiff competition from the upcoming Samsung smart watch, that is reportedly arriving this MWC and is allegedly sporting an OCR.
