Let it sink in! What you just saw is the Italian car maker’s flagship presentation at the Geneva Motor Show this year. The successor to the insanely fast Aventador is here folks and it is faster. The brand new Aventador LP-750-4 keeps the menacing edges of its predecessor but ditches almost everything in favor of speed.
Gone are the carpets, some noise cancelling elements and the infotainment system. Almost everything is now built with carbon-fiber supported by aluminium frames. Lamborghini set out in pursuit of SPEED and the new Aventador sheds nearly 50kg to achieve that.
The already powerful V12 returns with some insane modifications that take the car from 0 to 100 km/hr in just 2.8 seconds. Filthy quick. Purists will scream Buggati Veyron Supersport but who cares for 0.6 seconds when it comes down to looks.
There have been some major front and back changes that make the Superveloce look like a standard Aventador on steroids. The modifications aren’t merely cosmetic though; the aerodynaimcs of the car have been drastically improved. The Superveloce goes on sale later this spring at an astronomical cost of €327,190, but then, when were the lambos known for their affordability?
PS: Lambo is also throwing in a free infotainment system at the cost of a few parts of a second though!
