All you arachnophobes out there, how would you feel if one fine morning you move out of your nest to find mounds of silky spider-webs laid down all over the place as far as your eyes can see? And, if you are blessed enough, you’d be hallowed by an ominous sight of the hair-raising arachnids showering from the divine sky. Before you take a pledge to never come out of your house again, let us tell you that this spider downpour is not as unusual as you may think. Goulburn in New South Wales, Australia witnessed this last week when a cluster of more than half a million spiders fell from the sky. It is a natural phenomenon commonly known as ‘’Spider Rain’’ or ‘’Angel Hair” because of the silky, hair-like streams of threads that spiders leave behind.
