The OnePlus One was a very decent piece of technology, a device having top-notch hardware specs which when combined with the software, resulted in a mobile device that had won the hearts of many. Now, it's time to get excited about OnePlus's new flagship - The Two. There wasn't any sign of it at the MWC 2015 but it's expected to release later this year, around the third quarter. There seem to be handful of rumors regarding this device, but first things first. The Two is said to have a metal frame ie. 'more premium'. We aren't sure whether it will be a full metal uni-body or hybrid sort of. The exterior design of the device and its curves are likely to be similar to One's. Its not a issue because the One was quite comfortable to hold. One thing is for sure, OnePlus is taking up the design seriously. The device can give a tight competition to other 'metal' devices like the HTC One M-series.
Another great change brought to this device is its software, OnePlus Two will have OxygenOS in place of its Cyanogen which it had in its One. The company believes that this change will give them a full independent hold and a "better localisation". By providing the device with its own ROM will allow them to bridge gaps between the software and hardware and also provide its users with frequent OTA updates. Spec-wise, it'll definitely get better upgrades than the One, moreover even though the company has got quite an experience in the phone-business, the company's Carl Pei said that they won't over-produce the Two. That means you'll still have to struggle to get invites for it. When it comes to its cost, no details were given by the company but due to its premium metal finish, it's easy to guess that it's gonna cost more than the One- which was priced around $300, but certainly it won't cost as much as the other mainstream flagships like the HTC One M9, iPhone 6 or the Samsung S6. To sum up, it's going to be an 'interesting' device. We'll hunt for new details as it leaks and keep this post updated.
