Confused? Don’t be. Once you see the images you’ll understand my emotions. Firefox has recently announced a new phone called as Fx0 (Gosh what has happened to nomenclature these days?) in Japan.
The smart phone is designed by Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka in collaboration with KDDI and its silent partner, LG. The Firefox OS based smart phone looks somewhat like a shrunken LG G3.
The phone’s chassis is transparent, giving users their best look at all the electronic circuitry that power the phone. Yes, transparent. And while we are at it, did I mention that it also comes with a home button that looks like the unique firefox logo?
As for the hardware, the phone gets its grunt from a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Though the specs are nothing to write home about, they will still provide enough firepower to keep things sailing smoothly.
The only major gripe is the Firefox OS. In a market clearly dominated by Android and iOS, Firefox OS has a very long journey ahead of it and by the looks of it, the start hasn’t been that great yet. Heck, if Microsoft can only hope, well, you get the picture. Now, if only Apple could get this design.. you can’t blame a guy for dreaming!
