Looks like Xiaomi fans in India are going to have a blast early this year! In an exclusive interview, Manu Jain, Xiaomi India Head has confirmed that the much anticipated Mi4 will be hitting the Indian shores this 28th day of January.
The Xiaomi Mi4 is the next generation power horse to come from the Xiaomi's stable. After the tremendous success of the previous flagship, the Mi3, Xiaomi is gearing up to bring out the next iteration of the Mi series. The Mi4 follows the same pattern as its predecessor, offering solid specs at rock bottom prices.
On the papers, the Mi4 is actually a steal. The Mi4 boasts of a 5" Full HD (1920 X 1080) display (which equates to 441 ppi), and is powered by a beefy Snapdragon 801 paired with 3 GB of RAM. Yeah, its actually 3 (three). For the selfie lovers, the phone has an 8 MP front snapper complete with autofocus and face detection. The back sports a 13 MP camera with all the bells and whistles. Did we mention the cameras are built by Sony?
For all the power, the grunt is provided by a 3080 mAh battery. And the price tag? Oh! You're gonna love it, the Mi 4 costs ¥1999, or the equivalent of about $320, at least in China. There is no word on the price as of now, but we expect it to be priced at around the 20-22k mark. For those cursing their iPhones and flagship android phones, time to make a quick sale.
Xiaomi has managed to do what no company ever could. The handsets sport a solid build quality and actually surpass the competiting smart phones that cost thrice as much.
