Powerful yet 'affordable' Chinese mobile manufacturer Xiaomi is about to unveil and bring its Redmi 2 to India in this week. Precisely speaking, it was supposed to be launched on March 12 in India. It is now already available at Singapore, though a model of different configuration. The one that is going to hit the Indian markets will have a 4.7 inch 720p resolution screen. Having 2GB of RAM and 16GB in-built storage, unlike the 1GB/8GB model which has been already released in Singapore, this model is well-equipped in terms of its memory. It will also have Qualcomm's 64 bit Snapdragon 410 processor under the hood clocked at 1.2 which is far decent enough to power up this device. It may be little surprising that even with a CAT.4 LTE connectivity allowing data transfer speeds upto 150mbps it has a battery of 2200mAH, which can still give you a full day's use without having you search for your charger at the end of the day.
The Redmi 2 also comes with a decent 8 MP snapper and dual SIM. It has got a beautiful MIUI 6 skin on its Android 4.4 kernel. The exact cost of Redmi 2 (Indian version) isn't disclosed yet but the model released in Singapore costs $169 which is still a bonus for a phone with such decent specs. Speaking broadly, the combination of Redmi 2's price and specs make it a very tempting mobile. Especially when it comes to youth and it'll hit the markets any time now.
