Micromax's sister company, Yu, today launched two new power banks of 5000 and 10000 mAh capacity, inconspicuously named as Jyuice.
Seriously? What's with Yu and their unique names, no pun intended.
Enough of theatrics, the new power banks come in a single dark grey color with the Yu branding on the front. They have a full aluminum housing so as to prevent corrosion and have rounded edges for better grip.
The 5000mAh variant is very slim at just 7.9mm while the 10000mAh variant is a tad thicker at 12.5mm. The 5000mAh Jyuice costs 699 bucks while the beefier version will set you back by 1099.
You may be wondering as to what's different about Jyuice? Xiaomi's power banks cost exactly the same and look the part as well. To be honest, there is no difference except for the branding and availability. But Yu offers some cosmetic updates over the Xiaomi's offerings. For starters, these power banks have multi colored LED lights which means that they glow green when there is more 70% of charge left, yellow for up to 30% and red once the charge level drops below that.
Both the devices are on sale exclusively via Snapdeal. What's interesting is that Yu is selling them in a normal fashion, ie, no flash sales. Grab them before they go out of stock!
We will be posting an unboxing and a review as soon as we get our hands on the device. Stay tuned!
