At a media event held in New Delhi today, Yu Televentures lifted the wraps off the Yutopia or as they likes to call it, "The Most Powerful Smartphone Ever." After a series of teasers and jabs at the current flagships, the Yutopia is finally here in flesh and it does pack a treat. The Yu Yutopia comes with a Snapdragon 810 SoC clocked at 2.0GHz paired with Adreno 430 GPU with 4GB DDR4 RAM and 32GB on inbuilt storage expandable via microSD. Yu has partnered with Sharp to build the display for their latest flagship. The Yutopia comes with a 5.2" 2k full black display churning out 565ppi. The package is powered by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support. Yu claims the Yutopia can charge from 0 to 60% in 30mins. On the camera front, the Yutopia sports a 21MP camera with Sony IMX230 sensor(same as the Xperia Z5) complete with Phase Detection Auto Focus and OIS. It shoots 4K @ 30fps, full HD @ 60fps and slow-mo @ 120fps. For the selfie lovers, the Yutopia comes with an 8MP snapper. The smartphone is made entirely of "aircraft grade aluminium" which Yu says is 90% stronger than other flagships. The antenna bands are 40% thinner and are seamlessly integrated with the metal frame unlike some of the *cough* other phones. The front is dominated largely by the huge display and the back houses the camera and the fingerprint sensor. The camera module is very large and juts out which Yu cleverly calls the Saturn Ring design. The Yu Yutopia is priced at Rs. 24999 which makes it on par with the OnePlus Two, but the 2k screen and the 21MP camera will definitely tilt the scales in its favor. What's more is that Yutopia buyers get six months free subscription of Gaana (the default music player) and Rs. 100 off their first Ola Ride with the fourth ride free!
